HelloFresh is the biggest meal-kit service in the UK and the one most people try first. Each week you pick from a large menu, and the boxes arrive with pre-portioned fresh ingredients and step-by-step recipe cards, so there is no planning or shopping to do.
On value it is competitive once you order at scale. A four-recipe box for four people works out around £4 per portion at full price, but smaller two-person boxes cost more per head, and a £4.99 delivery charge is added to every order. It is a flexible subscription rather than a one-off - you can skip weeks, change box size or cancel whenever you like.
